Early identification

Early identification refers to a parent, educator, health professional or other adults ability to recognize developmental milestones in children and to understand the value of early intervention.
The earliest years of a child life are critical.These years determine child's survival and thriving life and holistic development. It is during the early years that children develop the cognitive, physical social, and emotional skills that they need to succeeded in life. The purpose of early identification is to determine which children have developmental problems that may be obstacles to learning or that place children at risk.

Early intervention

Early intervention means doing things as early possible to work on the child's developmental, health and support needs. Early intervention services give specialised support to children families in the early years, generally from birth until the child turns five. It is hoped that these services, provided early, will address any delays in development.
